first chair labrador mtn

yea this is a bit late, but i guess better late then never, the story goes that ben, jay, noah, chris and myself went to lab for opening day. We snagged the first chair before the old skiers in wool getups could finish their cream of wheat. Knee deep powder was riden and slashes were made, enjoy the pics

snow is on the ground, love is in the air

This weekend truly felt like the beginning of the season, allthough we have had the chance to ride at Ben's MS Benefit, this saturday at Windham, snow was blowing, faces were stinging and smiling, and peaople were dialin in some moves on boxes and rails at Rome Premature jibulation. On Sunday Chris and I met up with Jay, Noah and Ben Littler, we logged a few shots including Noah on a nice wodden double down and some bleachers and other random jibbing. I've been told that Ben Farrel logged a pretty nice tail press down a narrow 25 stair before I got there. I recorded some video, I'll post that up when it's all edited.

MS Benefit Rail Jam Nov. 17th 2007

The idea for a MS ( Multiple Sclerosis) Benefit popped into my head one day in the fall when I was supposed to be doing some homework, I knew lots of people that would be down for some early season riding so I pondered the idea and devised a plan. I talked to Toggenburg, and some of the event sponsors: Rome SDS, Holden Outerwear, and SNOW Ski and Board and they were very supportive. Along with the support from my family, girlfriend, and many friends and fellow riders I made the idea into a reality. The event wouldn't have happened without these people!

So, the event started out on a nice crisp, sunny morning. A nice early season accumulation of natural snow was covering the set up when some helping hands and I arrived to set up the features. Jayson and I had gotten many loads of snow from the ice rink the day before, and the guys at Toggenburg helped us set the rail and box in place. While the set up was being completed, and the final touches were put on the in runs and landings, riders, and supporters began to filter in. The riding commenced and the fun began. I saw many smiles, and some very impressive riding for an early season rail jam. I couldn't have asked for the event to go any better!

I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the event, all helped to raise over $900 for MS. I am very happy with the turn out and the support from everyone. The event went so well, much better than I could've expected! I would especially like to thank everyone who helped me set up: Jayson for getting loads of snow with me, My family and the Midey family for helping man the food stand, Ellen for helping me with ideas and organization of the whole event, and the sponsors (Rome, Holden, SNOW Ski and Board) for the support and product that we gave away. I can't forget Toggenburg for letting me host the event, Thank you all and hope you have a great season! See you next year at the 2nd Annual MS Benefit Rail Jam!?

Here is also a video of the event that Rich Wheeler editted ( Thanks Rich!):
